CRS have recently commissioned KAPP Engineering to develop a control system for a PWTP in Wallumbilla.

The primary objective of the Wallumbilla PWTP is to treat raw water to produce 30,000 litres per day of potable water, meeting the vendor supplied specifications including Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG).

The PWTP is partly containerised and controlled by a Koyo DL205 PLC with C-More HMI. The plant has been semi-automated with minimal operator action required under normal operation. Process alarms and selected parameters will be sent by RTU to the DCS system indicating a need for maintenance.
