Logic design has commenced for the containerised Water Treatment Plant (WTP) for MAK Industrial Water for a Copper Project in Kazakhstan. The WTP will be completely assembled, built and tested in Perth prior to being despatched to site towards the end of Q1 2014. The WTP will produce 330 m3/day of potable water via filtration and sterilisation in accordance with Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (AWDG).

The Control System will utilise a Rockwell Allen-Bradley CompactLogix PLC Chassis with PanelView Plus 6 HMI Touch Panel. The PanelView Plus 6 Terminal will show the status of the Filtration Plant and the Chemical Dosing System for the Potable Water Chlorine Treatment. Included also is the ability to switch between English and Russian languages within the HMI.

Analogue I/O will include HART capability. The PLC will communicate via Profibus DP to localised intelligent motor starters. Interfacing will also be possible between the Plant DCS and the WTP via Modbus TCP.
