Inductive & Capacitive Proximity Sensors • Inductive & Capacitive Proximity Sensors

KAPP Engineering offers cost effective wholesaler pricing on both Inductive and Capacitve proximity sensors.

Below is a list of overall features;

• 5, 8, 12, 18, and 30mm DC inductive
• 12, 18, and 30mm AC inductive
• Extended-distance models in 12, 18, and 30mm DC
• Stainless steel 12mm and 18mm inductive models for harsh applications
• 30mm capacitive models with sensitivity adjustment
• All DC sensors are available in fixed (NPN, PNP, 2 metre cable exit) and quick-disconnect cable   styles, all for the same low prices!
• Quick Disconnect models allow sensors to replaced in seconds
• All AC sensors available in fixed cable style
• All sensors have LED status indicators to verify operation at the switch
• Electrical protection for DC models: short circuit, polarity reversal, overvoltage,
   and inductive load
• Inductive sensors have a minimum of IEC IP67 protection rating

AutomationDirect sensors are priced cost effectively due to the operating model in which the company operates. This ensures that customers benefit the most from high quality products at the lowest possible price. Ultrasonic Sensors • Ultrasonic Sensors

The principle of ultrasonic sensors is based on the emission of a sound impulse and the measurement of the time elapsing of the return echo signal reflected by the detected object. The ultrasonic beam is well reflected by almost all materials (metal, wood, plastic, glass, liquid, etc.) and is not affected by coloured, transparent, or shiny objects. This allows the user to standardize on one sensor for many materials without any extra setup or sensing concerns.

Typical applications include;

• level measurement: for tanks containing solid or liquid
• diameter or loop detection: for materials such as paper, sheet iron, etc.
• transparent object detection: for plastic or glass bottles, plastic filters, etc.

Key features;

• Rectangular or Round sensors to suit application
• Sensing ranges from 300mm (rectangular) to 2500mm (round)
• Output contacts available in DC (PNP. NPN, NO/NC)
• Analog output option
• Adjustable sensitivity (DC models)
• Indicating LED’s to display sensor trigger (DC Models)
• Up to IP67 protection rating
• Complete overload protection

Limit Switches • Limit Switches

KAPP Engineering is a cost effective reseller of top-quality IEC style limit switches that have all the features you get in a switch costing three or four times the price. Check out our new line of Centsable limit switches, featuring the most popular actuator styles (plungers, short and adjustable levers with rollers, and steel and plastic rods) and a wide variety of cable entry options (one and three-hole cable entry in 1/2" NPT or PG13.5 threads).

The following limit switches are available;

• ABB Series Metal
• ABM Series Insulated (Plastic)
• Miniature plastic

Photo Electric Sensors • Photo Electric Sensors

Our photoelectric sensors offer you a high-quality, low-cost alternative to other industrial suppliers. We offer a variety of photoelectric sensors in different shapes and sizes to be used in a wide range of short or long-distance sensing applications. Both LED and laser photoelectric sensors are available. Fibre photoelectric amplifiers and several types of optical fibres are also available. Options include metal, stainless steel and plastic body models in various sizes.

Available models include;

• 18 mm AC-powered
• 5, 12, 18mm round, Rectangular & Compact Rectangular DC
• All 18 mm and rectangular sensors available in standard and quick-disconnect cable style
• 18 mm fiber photoelectric amplifiers have a teach button for sensitivity adjustment
• Electrical protection on DC models: short circuit, polarity reversal, overvoltage,
  and inductive load

Encoders • Encoders

Koyo has been manufacturing encoders for 32 years, and we will be carrying selected series of their optical rotary encoders for use in positioning and motion control applications. The initial offering includes standard shaft and hollow shaft versions of incremental encoders, and absolute encoding models with a stainless steel shaft.
All encoders feature a reinforced aluminium diecast casing, have an operating temperature range -10 to +70 degrees C, and come equipped with a two-meter cable exit. Flexible couplings in aluminium and glass reinforced resin and mounting brackets will also be available.

Key features include;

• TRD-S, TRD-N and TRD-NA Series
• Quadrature style miniature encoders
• 60, 100, 360, 500, 1000, or 2500 pulses per revolution
• 6, 8mm solid or hollow shaft models
• 100, 200Khz maximum response frequency
• 5, 12 – 24 and 5 – 30VDC versions
• IP565 protection rating
• Also available for ruggedised applications (TRD-J and TRD-GK)

Signal Conditioners • Signal Conditioners

Signal integrity starts with quality measurement and good equipment. However, even with the best equipment signals can be degraded if the equipment is not properly installed. Signal integrity can be greatly impacted by poor shielding and wiring practices. The biggest factor is ground loop errors (ground noise). Our signal conditioners protect your expensive electronic equipment against ground loops with up to 1500 V of isolation.

Key features;

• 4-20mA Isolated Conditioners
• DC selectable isolator for voltage/current signals
• Loop powered conditioners
• Thermocouple input conditioners
• DIN rail mountable
