Telstra's NextG; CDMA No
More? - 3G Router
The recent announcement of Telstra's
3G network has prompted much cause for concern for control system
engineers working with cellular telemetry for remote site
installations. The traditional CDMA based technology is scheduled
for complete phase out by 2008 which means that it is desirable for
all new installations to use industrial grade hardware that will
work on the 3G network. Telstra plans on using the existing CDMA
850MHz band for its new UMTS (3G) network which means that its
going to be quite a challenge finding industrial grade hardware.
KAPP Engineering has spent the last month researching hardware that
will work on the new 3G network and have hand picked an
Australian product that will not just meet, but exceed customer
requirements . For more details please visit our website
Kind Regards, Praveen Paul
